When I heard that there was going to be a TV series adaptation of what is, in my opinion one of the best books of the last century, I was both excited and apprehensive. So when the first episode finally aired in the UK at the end of last month, I was eager to get it watched and find out which emotion had been the most accurate.
The BBC are well known for exquisite, nail biting dramas. So when the world and his wife told me that Apple Tree Yard was something I should definitely watch, I did so.
Yes, I know, the series finale was half a week ago. I know. But thanks to my long commute and busy weekends I’ve only just managed to sit down with enough brain power to fully appreciate this series. So here it is, my review of Sherlock’s fourth season.
Okay, so, my initial plan was to wait until Emmerdale’s special week was complete before writing a review. But quite frankly after tonight’s episodes there were a few things I just had to note down.
Regular visitors to Review Central will remember last autumn when I raved about the first season of the TV adaptation of James Patterson’s ‘Zoo’. Well having just finished watching the show’s second season, I felt it was only right that I write up another review for you all.
As a huge fan of Clarkson- Hammond – May Top Gear and a definite hater of Chris Evans, I was always skeptical about new Top Gear but nevertheless last night I decided to give it a go and sat down to watch it ready to have my mind changed about my least favourite presenter of all time. Sadly, after the first hour of new Top Gear my opinion on Mr Evans hasn’t changed.
Now don’t get me wrong, there were bits I liked, but these were generally the bits that a) didn’t feature Evans and b) were most reminiscent of old Top Gear. So here’s a quick summary of the things I felt they did well:
So it finally arrived, the season finale of Grimm season 5, and boy what a way to bow out. We had a bit of everything that has made this season great, emotion, love, sacrifice, tension and some kick ass fight scenes – not to mention one or two pretty crucial deaths. Now I’m alerting you all early so if you don’t want spoilers – look away now!
